The national selectors are in a bind now that they have to make selection for the Indian squad that will travel to the West Indies. Not quite the final frontier, the selectors need to keep in mind that the momentum cannot be let off. India’s next goal is to retain their No 1 rankings and extend the lead between them and the No 2 team. The major headaches for the selectors would be to balance the work load that most of the cricketers have undergone by the time they get to West Indies. There was the World Cup. Then the ongoing IPL.
