Plenty has been said about the IPL auction held in Mumbai, Keiron Pollard’s bid, Shane Bond’s come back, a whole bunch of extremely miffed Pakistanis. And so on and so forth.For mine, the highpoint of the auction happened before it started. And it was in the choice of venue for the said auction.In terms of symbolism, and in terms of making an emphatic statement, the IPL organizers could not top this. The auction itself pales in significance.
