In scoring exactly 100 off 164 balls against India in the second Test at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, right-handed opener Alviro Petersen became just the third South African to score a hundred on debut.He was also the first South African ever to score a century in the first innings of a Test match on debut and the first to score a century in India.Petersen looked as though he was in his 50th Test, so fluent was his shot making.
